It’s Friday, so we’ll keep this post light and simple.
Previously in our post we shared some insights on why you should get your brand featured on Instagram. Aside from curating beautiful images, here are 3 brands that are using Instagram with user-generated content via innovative #hashtags, and winning at the social media game.
I) Grana.com – a newcomer that has taken the online fashion world by surprise. When you think basics can’t get any better than Uniqlo, Grana made splashy headlines with its high-quality, transparent production pricing, and high quality ‘made-of-silk’ basic tops targeting youthful professionals of today.
Their website has a geeky appeal likewise with an infographics on how much their production cost mark-ups are as compared to traditional fashion businesses. Bit of a marketing ploy there but its fresh 🙂
What we love on their site is their Instagram profile (https://instagram.com/granacom/) integrated onto the site with hashtag #GranaWorld . With about 4.5k followers post new-ly launched, this brand is more than just the basics.
II) Matterprints.com – a fashion label that focuses on traditional craft of producing prints on textile. What we love about Matter’s site is how they showcases the processes of making the prints on fabric and the artisans that they work through videos online. With their ethos on being a ‘socially motivated lifestyle brand connecting communities to opportunity’, their social media accounts reflect just that.
Here’s a snapshot of how Matter integrates their Instagram account with hashtag #MATTERTRIBE to let users tag their Matter-print outfits around the world.
III) Nastygal.com – This brand needs no introduction to (ladies) fashionistas. Based in Uh-merica, Nastygal recently took the #hashtag campaigns to new heights by touring it on a bus. In an effort to promote the launch of an autobiography book of its Founder, Sophia Amoruso, the brand made headlines by encouraging fans to tag their Nastygal outfits as the bus cruises from city to city with the hashtag #GIRLBOSS. Major swag points right there 🙂
If are you getting inspired by these Instagram integration on site, here are a few plugins that you can use for your blogshops: Snapwidget, Instansive, and Intagme. MakeUseOf.com has a great write-up on the pros and cons for each widget.
So here goes the week and hello Friday!! Have a super-deserving restful weekend folks. xx
